The dam was intended to prevent water and cause it to be absorbed in land as per slogan i.e. ‘PANI ADVA, PANI JIRVA’

A drive to build Vanrai Bandhara at Tal Guhagar

By courtesy of Dr. Shri Nanasheb Dharmadhikari Pratisthan , a small dam (Bandhara) was built to prevent flowing water of the river in front of Laxmi-Narayan Temple, at the boundary of Group Gram Panchayat Narvan. This bandhara is around 50 feet in length and 3 feet in height.

Earlier, on 26 Oct 2015, Gram Panchayat Narvan issued a letter of consent for this dam to Dr. Shri Nanasheb Dharmadhikari Pratisthan . The dam was intended to prevent water and cause it to be absorbed in land as per slogan i.e. ‘PANI ADVA, PANI JIRVA’.

900 gunnies of soil, 50 feet plastic paper and 3 tempos of soil were utilized for the construction of dam wall. Only 69 pratisthan volunteers’ hard work brought this result. It was to impound lakhs liter of water which would certainly help in rising ground water level. People of 8 hamlets located nearby were to be benefited due to this bandhara. Sarpanch Mr.Chandrakant Anant Dahivalkar, members of gram panchayat Mr. Santosh Hari More, Mrs. Prachi Pradeep Narwarkar, Mrs. Swati Shantaram Mule, Mrs. Rupali Pravin Jadhav, former panchayat member Mr. Mahadev Bhikaji Bargude, President of water supplying committee Mr. Dattaram Sakharam Gotad, Police patil Mr. Ramkant Pandurang Jadhav, reputed personality Jayram Narayan Vaidya, Mr. Bhikaji Vishram Paste and president of ‘Tanta Mukti Campaign’ Mrs. Malti Madhukar Narvankar and all villagers attended this programme enthusiastically.
