DSNDP had organized the unique cancer awareness conference to educate women about different kinds of cancer, namely Ovarian, uterine, colorectal, cervical and breast cancer. The conference primarily stressed the importance of prevention and early detection of cancer.

About the Cancer Awareness Conference

Per recent data from United States Centers of Disease control, Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the United States. With this growing global burden, prevention of cancer is one of the most significant public health challenges of the 21st century. Hence creating awareness about early detection, potential risk factors for cancer, and early treatment remains at the forefront. The major objective of the program is to increase awareness about cancer and minimize the social stigma associated with it. Early detection of cancerous or precancerous growth will not only save lives but also decrease the financial and emotional stress on families and communities, by large. Acknowledging the critical importance of early cancer detection and creating awareness among women, Dr. Shri Sachindada Dharmadhikari organized a unique Women’s Cancer Awareness Conference on February 25th, 2023, in Jersey City, New Jersey. The conference focused on promoting the prevention and early diagnosis of women cancers.
